Why start the season with the Individual Time Trail (ITT)?

Race #1 – The Cloud City Challenge in Leadville, Colorado

 

1) Fair & Consistent Category Placement

▪ There are no comparable results for the 2020 Season. The ITT results measure a rider’s ability against their peers fairly and consistently.

2) Safe Rider Experience

▪ Each rider has the opportunity to complete an individual time trial and be ranked in the category best suited for their abilities, subsequent races will be safer for all participants.

3) Inclusive Environment

▪ Compliance with anticipated COVID-19 gathering restrictions for outdoor events can be implemented without limiting the number of riders who are allowed to register for each race.

The last two regular-season races and state championships will be a cross-country race format.  The final season format will be announced no later than July 15th.
