Since inception, this partnership has played a vital role in shaping a program that goes far beyond cycling, creating meaningful leadership pathways and positive mentorship throughout our community.
The Junior Coach Program empowers select older CB Devo athletes to step into leadership roles, mentoring younger riders while gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for future roles as CB Devo head coaches and community leaders. With the support of Butte Financial, junior coaches develop confidence, responsibility, and strong communication skills, all while serving as positive role models on and off the bike.
The impact of this program is deeply reciprocal. Younger riders benefit from guidance, encouragement, and inspiration from coaches they admire, while junior coaches grow through teaching, accountability, and the opportunity to give back to the program that shaped them. Over the years, we have seen how this influence helps develop not only stronger riders, but better teammates, leaders, and people.
Junior Coach participants are thoughtfully selected by CB Devo coaches and administrators based on character, commitment, and leadership potential, ensuring the program continues to reflect the values made possible through the generous support of Butte Financial.
