New athlete applications will be available online at 8am Monday, April 1 and must be submitted no later than 8pm on Monday, April 15, 2024.
All registration for existing athletes and athlete applications for new participants will be closed at 8pm on April 15, 2024. Any new athlete applications submitted after this deadline and/or existing athletes, who did not make this same deadline, will only be considered pending group availability.
We will review these applications and select the athletes that will make up the most well-matched teams taking age, gender, and ability levels into consideration. These team announcements will be made by email on or before April 17, 2024. Please understand that this has never been an easy process for us and will be increasingly difficult given the demand for youth summer programming in the Gunnison Valley. We will do our absolute best to include as many riders as we possibly can while still holding on tightly to our program goals and objectives. It is absolutely necessary for CB Devo to maintain small coach to rider ratios in order to keep our athletes safe and their skills progressing. On May 1st, we require that all program registration be completed for NEW ATHLETES as well as a payment of either 50% or the total amount due for program fees. The remainder of program fees is due no later than June 1, 2024 for CB Devo Summer Programs. We will communicate with you via email to remind you if we do not receive your payment.
New for 2024 is our CANCELLATION POLICY, which is as follows:
The Crested Butte Development Team has always placed coach safety training and intentional coach to rider ratios as a top priority. We begin our hiring process in April so that we can be best prepared for the upcoming season. Once we’ve hired and confirmed schedules with coaches, we have made a commitment to them for summer employment. Once at least 50% of fees have been paid on or before May 1, if parents pull riders from CB Devo summer programming, the refund structure below will apply. The only exception to this will be injury or illness with a doctor’s note. All program fees are due no later than June 1, 2024.
- If parents pull rider after May 8, 50% of fees are non-refundable
- If parents pull rider after June 1, 100% of fees are non-refundable
